Waited all my life for this
My adrenaline is still pumping. Still trying to catch my breath.
Ten minutes ago, the Time was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Happy 01:02:03 04/05/06!
This historic moment is never to be forgotten.
Please share with me what you were doing. I was meditating on the merits of implementing an abstract class and virtual functions as opposed to interfaces to address the commonalities of C# classes in an distributed data environment which exploits the heterogeneousness of commercial SQL adapters and reader objects, thanks to the vendor agnostic features of ADO.NET.
I wonder what Katherine Jenkins was doing. Please check out her website if you don't know who she is. You cannot afford to stay ignorant in this new era.

And if you missed this one you could follow the British dating system, which means you can wait until May 4th!
Wow, you are a geek, aren't you :-) I noticed that news item and have to admit it is cool. At that time (my time) I was sound asleep, and at that time (your time) I was tossing and turning, trying to get BACK to sleep. Probably not a sufficiently geeky way to mark that momentous event.
Yeah, sleeping, having weird dreams.
PS, I checked out the website and must say that I am impressed!
Numerology
T.M., a Northfield reader, along with a number of other readers, wants you to know that for one second on Wednesday morning it will be 01:02:03 04/05/06.
From Chicago Sun-Times Quick Takes yesterday following his account of the 1, 2, 3, etc.
QT will hold out for six seconds after 6:06 a.m. July 6.
Not to mention nine seconds after 11:10 a.m. Aug. 7.
The next year that will read the same upside-down and rightside-up will be 6009, by the way, and don't some of you wish you had paid more attention in 1961?
Thanks for the heads up on the singer. I'll check her out - already took a look at the link.
While it was probably a great moment to have stayed up to witness, I most certainly was in bed asleep. I was exhausted yesterday, and even if I wanted to stay up to witness it, I wouldn't have made it.
I was practically raised on classical music. I took piano lessons when I was very young and I played classical music. I really love to listen to it also.

More geek poetry?
Sorry I missed this...I think I was sleeping somewhat soundly.
B~
what?
Re your comment on isamericaburning. I live in Merced about 100 miles give or take from Sacto. Their levee problems won't flood me out but they will certainly affect the entire state.
We're agricultural of course and all the Central Valley counties are crisscrossed with levees and creeks. The levees are antiquated and around Sacto (the delta) are extremely vulnerable.
Meditating on the merits of implementing an abstract class and virtual function, and you ended up on Kathering Jenkins? lol!
Sigh... I was the only one staying up to celebrate this.
Yo Buck, you are saying that as if that's a bad thing.
Not a bad thing, just a horny one! Anyway, I was curious how you do that link thing in the comments section. Are you simply adding an html tag to the comment?
Hey David your profile pic looks like one of those iraqi hostage photos on al jazeera.
Horny? No, No, No. It's her MUSIC. Her SINGING. Get your mind out of the gutter.
Walker, LOL. That is the best picture I got.
