Dream interpretation

Kat's blog meme

One recurring theme in my dreams is this: I am back in school taking courses with people much younger than I am after some bureaucrat has invalidated my diploma upon discovering a few unfulfilled prerequisites.

The invalidation of my BA sets off a domino sending me back not just to college, but my high school and often all the way BACK TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

It happens a lot. I cannot think of a more recurring theme than this when it comes to my dreams. It's always followed by a huge sigh of relief that I no longer have to compete for the teacher's attention with a bunch of rambunctious 9 year old kids.

I always used to have dreams where I could put on my favorite pair of swim fins and if I jumped up and kicked hard enough, I could fly.

Now my alarm disturbs me right in the middle of my REM cycle and I don't remember my dreams as much. I need a job where my alarm isn't going off at 4:45 am.

I miss flying.

Billy Madison? Is that movie any good? Should I see it to help stop dreaming those dreams? They aren't necessarily nightmares, but aren't very pleasant either.

Max, that sounds like a cool dream to me.

I very rarely remember my dreams. I always wished that I would remember more of them, but I guess that I will have to live with not knowing what my mind worries about while I sleep. However I was not sleeping well and I remember that I was having extremely random dreams so on the other hand, maybe I am glad that I don't remember.

Well at least you aren't having dreams about doing naked slip and slide. I still can't figure out the meaning behind them.

A very good man and wise friend of mine once said that if we have a dream more than once, God is probably trying to teach us something.

Having thought a bit more about my comment it likely would not apply to naked slip and slide, but who knows?!

Max--I used to have that dream too! Only, one of my fins would always fall off and I would fly lopsided, struggling to stay "afloat" by making my one flippered-foot work overtime.

Dreams can tell us a lot of things that normally, we don't understand. We all do have dreams but not all the times, they are good dreams. I do wonder at times on what and why certain dreams appear the way that they do and sometimes, I feel like I can control the dream. I think dream interpretations are great for they provide us with answers concerning our dreams.
