Big Typos
Typo I:
This email from a customer who uses one of the web applications I built and support. It has been edited to protect her identity and also proprietary information
To: David Cho
From: [Name withheld]
Subject: PLEASE HELP
The problem is all over. I cannot save anything. It won't save to the database. Please help.
My response
Nice try.
I mean to type, NOW try.
Typo II:
Writing emails before having a cup of coffee is a bad idea. Here is why.
I am running late because of a mental emergency. Should be in shortly after lunch.
It was a DENTAL emergency, not mental.
This typo does seem aptly timed to reflect the kind of month I've had. Freud would have been proud. Hopefully this weekend will allow for some breathing room to catch up with sleep and also update the blog.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Your typos bring me joy.
Thank you, Julie.
You got me to post emails. All your fault.
That's pretty funny David. Did it get cleared up or was she left dispondant over her problem?
Happy Thanksgiving!
Too funny. Never email (or post responses on blogs) before coffee. Good idea. I've made that my practice as well.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy some rest.
That is hilarious!!! :)
Really funny! I have a video from a recent sermon in which I made a terrible blunder of words. Happy Thanksgiving!
I show up late for work due to mental emergencies all the time!
You cracked me up! Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Daveed!
Gee, it's nice to know that I am not alone when it comes to typos. I thought I had the market on them. :-)
"Nice try" was a riot. I don't know what I'd do if I got that in a service email. :D
funny, funny David!
My worst typo made it into a brochure. Fortunately we only printed 15,000 before it was caught. It was an environmental policy brochure for a major corporation. It was proofed by at least 6 people at different stages and nobody caught the missing "L":
"[name of company withheld] employees will respond openly and promptly to all pubic inquiries."
Gary, that is hilarious. I thought many times of stealing the L from the public library's sign in the area when I was in high school. Never followed through though.
mental emergency . . . SOOO funny!
That'll keep me giggling all day.
You are too funny! It is my new years resolution to read your blog more.
Hopefully you did not get into too much trouble
That's good stuff.
I love reading your blog, typos and all. And man, I type something awful! Over here we text more than we call on our cell phones because it's cheaper. I have my phone set up for that auto text thing and never check it before I hit send. People are always relpying with "WHAT?!"
And ya know, we should all have a mental day every now and then.
